Getting started
Here I am at one of my least favorite things to do, sit in front of the computer. The time just melts away. I have so many other things I want (need) to do. I sure hope there are others out there interested.
Hi Jo! I'm interested in what you do! I LOVE this piece you have on this page! Tell me more about your jewelry- what is your process? What materials do you work with? What is your inspiration? I can't WAIT to hear all about your work!
I am a jeweler and gardener. I started working with fine silver. I love the way it moves. After the price of silver started to go through the roof I decided it would be fun to try other metals. I started expermenting with old silverplate. I also use copper and brass. I love the organic look of mixed metals. I think because I am a gardener my pieces all have an organic look.
I have joined a couple teams on Etsy. Today I received an invite from one of the teams to join a jewelry-making challenge. To create something outside my normal realm. Sounds like fun. So now I need to get my 'brain' to go in a different direction. This will be interesting. Check in to see how I do. I will post a picture of my piece when I am done.
Looks like you have a healthy start here. I started a blog some time ago (more than a year). OBVIOUSLY, I didn't continue on with it. Just don't want to sit in front of a computer on a regular basis. Maybe you've given your big sis some inspiration. Love the background you chose. Now I'm not sure what 'profile' I have to select. Last 3 attempts didn't work for me. Will be back to see any new postings.
It's been awhile, but I'm back! The last two weeks my hubby and myself have been fighting a cold, a duzy. But during that time I have placed some of my work in a new shop in Contoocook, NH. It is called 3 On Main Mercantile. It is really a fun shop, full of all kinds of things for your home and yourself. You gotta check it out!
